It’s mum and dad’s last day with me so decided we would do some sightseeing so we set off early for Potato Point which is about half an hour south of Tuross Head. It’s a great little spot to visit if you ever get the chance to come up this way. The caravan park, which is the only accommadation there, is right on the beach and the scenery is secptactular , with great views of Montague Island from the headland. This is the spot where I did my solo dive last week.
After leaving Potato Point we went to Bodalla and had morning tea at the Blue Earth Cafe which serves Montague Organic Coffee which was great, they also grow all there own veggies for the kitchen which is always good to see.
After there we headed up the road to the Bodalla Dairy Shed and Retro Milkbar for some cheese tasting, which is one of my many favourite pastimes. They have a range Bush Tucker Cheeses which I tucked into and ended up buying two types one was the Drover’s Delight which had a mix of herbs found in the Great Dividing Range and garlic, the other cheese I bought was the Stockwhip which had a combination of purple pepperberries added to a smooth vintage cheddar. I would highly recommend a visit here if you get the chance.
Then it was time to head back to the camp as I had to go out on my new Hobie Kayak and catch dinner for the night. I had a great afternoons fishing with three flatheads and a bream for dinner.
Bye for now
